I feel truly blessed to live next door to my dear friend Ang so when she asked for my help, I was glad to come to the “wreath rescue”.
It turned out absolutely stunning and I wish you could see the way it sparkles, but the camera 🎥 didn’t quite capture it.

Last weekend was an empowering experience at the Bridal & Wedding Expo, where I spent most of Saturday loading in and on Sunday had the privilege of meeting and speaking with hundreds of couples. It's no wonder I have no voice this week, but it was worth it. Thanks to Sheila and Haley for being my incredible support team. I couldn't have done it without you both.

The best love is when two healed people choose each other, every day.

Not two broken people trying to fix each other.
Not two wounded people reopening each other's scars.
Not two people using love as a distraction from their pain.

But two people who've done the work.

They've faced their trauma instead of running from it.
They've processed their pain instead of projecting it.
They've learned their patterns instead of repeating them.
They've healed their wounds instead of bleeding on each other.

Healed people love differently.

They don't love from a place of desperation.
They don't need you to complete them.
They don't use you to fill a void.
They don't make you responsible for their happiness.

They love from a place of wholeness.

They choose you, they don't need you.
They enhance your life, they don't drain it.
They bring peace, not chaos.
They offer stability, not emotional rollercoasters.

Healed people know how to communicate.
They express their needs without attacking.
They share their feelings without blame.
They address conflict without cruelty.
They apologize when they're wrong.

Healed people know how to love themselves.
So they don't expect you to fill the gaps they haven't filled.
They don't punish you for the hurt someone else caused.
They don't sabotage the relationship because they don't feel worthy.

When two healed people come together, magic happens.

They don't just fall in love, they build it intentionally.
They don't just feel chemistry, they create compatibility.
They don't just make promises, they keep them.
They don't just start strong, they stay consistent.

They choose each other on the good days and the hard days.
They choose each other when it's easy and when it requires effort.
They choose each other in the mundane moments and the memorable ones.

Because healed people understand that love is a choice, not just a feeling.

Your healing isn't selfish, it's necessary.
It's the greatest gift you can give your future relationship.
Do the work now so you can love well later.

The best love is worth healing for.

I first met Brianna during a walk-through at Pleasant Home for her sister’s graduation. Right away, I was impressed by her organizational skills and made a point to tell her so. She lit up when she shared her passion for event creation — and I knew I had come across someone truly gifted.

As someone who believes in lifting up talent when you see it, I was excited to connect with a woman like Brianna, especially one who could support some of my future events. Even after moving away from Illinois, I’ve had the pleasure of watching her journey unfold through Facebook.
