Gold Performance for Paralympian Reich 🇨🇦🥇
AZA Events is fortunate to have a close connection to Canadian Paralympian and gold medalist, Nate Reich. Nephew to our senior event planner, April Tucker, Reich, 28, moved from Phoenix to Victoria, BC in 2018 to train at the Canadian Sport Institute Pacific.
Reich won gold this last week in the men’s T38 1,500-meter running race at the World Para Athletics Championships in Paris. This helped Canada win its most medals, and he repeated as world champion.
He adds this accolade to holding world records in the T38 800 meters and 1,500 meters. Reich’s world record in the 1,500 meters has stood since 2021. He has topped the podium at such international races as a gold medalist in the 🥇2020 Tokyo Paralympics, IPC World Championships, and the Parapan American Games.
Reich competes as a Para athlete after being diagnosed at 10 with a brain injury that affected the right side of his body. He was involved in a freak golf accident when another player’s golf ball accidentally hit the back of his head. In the eighth grade, Reich started running and had much success as an able-bodied runner through college.
When he’s not on the track, Reich shares his triumphant story with audiences. Contact AZA Events if you’d like his contact information. An excellent corporate speaker not to be missed. Follow him at
