Southern Selfies turns THREE today! 🥳

Three years of saying “one more picture,” convincing the shy ones to jump in, and watching people have way more fun than they expected. 😂

I’ve learned a lot along the way. Owning a business means wearing all the hats, figuring things out as you go, and putting yourself out there even when it feels uncomfortable. But getting to know people and having clients invite us back makes all that work mean something.

To everyone who has booked us, recommended us, shared a post, or stopped by to try something new, thank you. Those little things help this business grow more than you know.

A special shout out to my husband, Mat, our Operations Manager, for pushing me to start Southern Selfies and helping me every step of the way. From loading and unloading to late nights and listening to every idea that starts with “okay, hear me out…” you’ve been right there with me. I love you, and I’m so thankful we get to do this together. 💗

And to the rest of my family, thank you for showing up and supporting this business in so many ways.

My favorite part is still watching someone see their photo or video and immediately turn to their friend and say, “You have to do this!”

Thank you for three years of Southern Selfies and for letting us give YOU the main character moment. Here’s to year four! 🥂

Trick-or-treating for adults? Count us in. 👻🍬

Last night’s Greater Vidalia Chamber Business Expo was full of familiar faces, creative booths, and local businesses showing up for our community. It’s a fun reminder of how much we have right here at home and the people behind it all.

Southern Selfies teamed up with Ohoopee River RV & Camp Resort to give guests a little staycation preview! We transformed their photos into kayaking, campfire, and glamping scenes so they could picture themselves right there at the park. 🛶🔥

Thank you to the Chamber for bringing everyone together and to Ohoopee for letting us help bring their corner of our community to life!

One of the sweetest moments I caught all night… and it wasn’t even on the 360. 🥹

While we were set up and waiting for the party to get started, I caught this beautiful mirror dance between the quinceañera and a younger girl, representing a younger version of herself. 🩷

We may be there to capture the fun videos, but sometimes we get lucky enough to catch the sweet moments happening behind the scenes, too.

And this one was definitely worth pulling out my phone for. 🥹✨

It’s more than showing up with a booth. We’re there for the experience.

If you’ve been following Southern Selfies for a while, you’ve probably noticed we’ve grown into a lot more than photo booths.

Yes, we still take pictures. Really good ones, actually. 😂 But what I love most is creating the experience around them.

Give me your event theme, your company’s brand, a marketing goal, or even a half formed “Okay, this might sound crazy, but…” idea. Those are usually my favorite.

Southern Selfies creates interactive photo, video, and content experiences for corporate events, conferences, weddings, festivals, community events, and celebrations throughout Savannah and Southeast Georgia.

That might look like a Mirror Booth with prints, a green screen experience that puts your guests somewhere completely unexpected, roaming photos taken right in the middle of the action, 360 videos, fun shareable video content, custom photo transformations, magazine covers, sports cards, or something we haven’t created yet because you haven’t asked us for it.

For brands, we’re thinking about more than getting a good picture. How can we incorporate your brand into the experience? How can we get people to interact with it? And most importantly, how can we create something they’ll actually want to share or keep?

The equipment is really just the tool.

The fun part is figuring out what we can create with it.

Years from now, that photo may still be hanging on your aunt’s refrigerator. It might be tucked inside your grandmother’s photo album, sitting on your best friend’s desk at work or taped to your cousin’s bathroom mirror.

That’s what makes printed photos from a wedding so special. Your guests aren’t just having fun for a few minutes. They’re creating a memory with the people they love and leaving with a piece of your wedding day they can hold onto.

The music eventually stops, the cake gets eaten and the decorations come down. But those photos have a way of sticking around. ❤️

Last night was SO much fun!

We ended up taking around 50 transformation photos of the ladies who came out for the Practical Magic showing at the Pal Theatre, and I had just as much fun doing these as everyone did finding out which witch they were.

But I think my favorite part was just seeing everybody! There were so many familiar faces, including people I haven’t seen in YEARS. It really did turn into one big girls’ night.

And honestly, there’s something very Practical Magic about a theater full of women laughing, catching up, taking pictures together and just enjoying a night out. A little friendship, a little sisterhood and apparently a whole lot of witches running around Vidalia.

Happy Labor Day!

Today we’re celebrating the people who work hard, show up, build businesses, serve their communities, and keep things moving every single day.

As a small business owner, I know firsthand there’s a whole lot of work that happens behind the scenes—but I’m incredibly thankful that my work gets to include capturing some pretty amazing moments along the way. 🫶

Here’s to a well-earned day to relax, recharge, and enjoy the people you love.

A little look back at Sunday’s Forge Graduation! 🎓✨

Thank you to Forge Recovery Center for inviting Southern Selfies to be part of such a meaningful celebration. We loved watching everyone celebrate, laugh and create a few memories together before and after the ceremony.

And this is what we love about a 360 Video Booth, it can be so much more than just spinning around a camera. 👏 We can customize the entire experience to fit your event, from the video design and music to the setup itself, creating shareable content that feels like it was made specifically for your celebration.
