Looking back on all the sunshine and rainbows 🌈 of events over the past year.

Love love love getting to be a part of making an event special and intentional. I was one of a handful of vendors at this corporate event, and I so enjoyed getting to be just one part of a group of artisans working hard to share their passion and make the guests feel wowed.

These sweet little boxes had ricotta cheese, honey, crackers, fruit, salted almonds, and prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella, with a sprig of lavender on top. πŸ§€ πŸ‡ 🍯

A lovely little charcuterie spread for a get-together at a home in the Santa Cruz area. They are fans of blue cheese so we got to feature a beautiful marbled, cave-aged beauty. We love getting to make these events more memorable ❀️

A special grazing table for a baby shower in the most beautiful venue, Plants By Post, in Campbell, California. We got to set up a sweet drink station, had tons of extra florals to use, and added lots of sweet treats to add to the celebration. So fun getting to be part of this day!

3 Common Charcuterie Board Mistakes and How to Fix Them!

1. Soggy crackers. Wet fruits can make crackers soggy and leak onto your cheeses and meats, changing their flavor. Be aware of what is touching your crackers and try to keep them away from wet ingredients. Putting crackers and bread in a cute basket helps to keep them fresh.

2. Forgetting the condiments. Adding small bowls and ramekins helps to break up the composition of the board or table, as well as add complimentary flavors to your cheese and meat. Fill cute bowls with local honey, fresh jam, quince paste, or any other sweet flavor to create a more complex tasting experience.

3. Leaving out the extra touches. What really makes a charcuterie board feel cohesive and gourmet is adding extra elements to tie it together. Edible flowers spread throughout the board, sprigs of rosemary or thyme peeking out of corners, greenery surrounding the edges of the board all help to create a sense of harmony.

Any ones I’ve missed?
