I don’t toot my own horn very often, but I’m going to today. 🥹
I attended a NACE program today centered around hospitality, and it had me thinking about what I want people to feel when they experience something I’ve created.
This grazing table from Saturday’s cocktail hour at Oceanpoint Ranch is probably one of my favorite examples.
As I got to know the bride, I started picking up on all these little pieces of her, her IG stories about squirrels, lizards, her ridiculously cute cat, butterflies, sunshine, and this wonderfully whimsical, slightly hippie energy she has. So when I started dreaming up her grazing table, I wanted it to feel like her.
I found tiny little details and pieces of décor to tuck throughout the table that reminded me of things she had shared or that reminded me of her. Most of them probably won’t even show up in this reel. And honestly, that’s kind of the point.
Not every detail has to be noticed by everyone.
Sometimes the smallest gestures are the ones that quietly say, “I listened. I remembered. You mattered to me.”
And I think that might be my favorite part of hospitality. Creating something beautiful is wonderful, but making someone feel seen is the magic. ✨ That’s one reason you should choose Board in SLO!
