Hello Friends and Party People,

It is with great disappointment that I formally announce, Aftershock - 25th Anniversary!, the Official After Hours Party of Folsom Street Fair, will not occur as scheduled in 2020. Our 25th Anniversary event has been re-scheduled for Sunday, September 26, 2021 and we can’t wait to see everyone there next year.

Our community is no stranger to pandemics that devastate our ranks and out of that experience we carry wisdom that so many lack. Since the AIDS crisis, we have learned so much about resilience and the power of collaboration. This is our time to come together in solidarity to focus on the needs and services of our most vulnerable populations.

Due to the ongoing COVID crisis, the non profits and other partner organizations that support our community face fiscally challenging days ahead. Since you aren’t buying an Aftershock ticket this year, please consider making a donation to one, or all, of our 2020 partners.

Nightlife is central to the Bay Area’s queer culture. Those whose primary source of income is in nightlife are currently experiencing economic insecurity as a result of bar closures and event cancellations in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
