You probably didn’t know this, but you were my mentor and superstar. The DJ standard I held all DJs too. Because……you were kind. You were real. You were the best. We wouldn’t have had our house scene here in CA if it weren’t for you and I am forever grateful. My friend, Jason, was your manager and thanks to him I got to hang out with you. They say don’t meet your idols and yet you managed to hammer home why I became a DJ, why I love house, and why I will sing your praises until the end of time. Funky Tekno Tribe was where I cut my teeth and stole my spelling for teknokat. Sending so much love to your family.

I hope you’re dancing your ass off with my Papa in heaven rn. Sure, he’ll tell you Bob Dylan is best, but I be he can cut a rug to Stereophonic. Thank you for all you did for the community, and for me. So much love. Rest in power, the patron saint of house.
