ABOUT THE THEME

This theme touches on the reality that oftentimes home is impermanent and constantly changing. In a city where the cost of living is increasingly high, it speaks to the communities who are impacted everyday. It questions how we find home, and what makes a home. HOME is an ode to DISTRCT SF, a place that brought us together, where we danced together -- our first home.

ABOUT KIDNETIKZ

Established July 2015, KIDNETIKZ is a San Francisco based youth-led dance program under the Community Youth Center of San Francisco (C*C) serving high school students around the city. Currently funded by the SF Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF)'s Summer Mini-Grant, KIDNETIKZ is an all-inclusive team whose mission is to community build across language and cultural barriers, promote positive mental and physical health, and foster strong young leaders.

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with our good friends at Selfless Society for our annual “Happy Day” event in collaboration with their “Help Us Help Others” event. Our mission is to bring ‘Happy Days’ to others by coming together and helping the people in our greater community during a time of need. We want to not only provide basic necessities like food & clothing, but we also want to connect with the people on the streets who otherwise don’t receive the care, attention, and human connection they deserve and desperately need. Happy Day x HUHO will be happening December 19th this year. Stay tuned for future updates on what the event means and how you can be a part of it.
