Batle Studio, Agelio Batle Batle Studio is a multi-generational family design company, founded by artist Agelio and Delia Batle in San Francisco, California.
Although, known world-wide for the Graphite Objects Agelio developed in 1998, he is also versed in stage design, art installation, performance art and drawing as well as sculpture. His diverse pursuits stem from his background in both the sciences and the arts, having earned a BA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a MFA degree in Fine Art from the California College of

I’m excited to share that I’ll be participating in @visartsrva Craft + Design Online event over the next 9 days! This contemporary craft show traditionally takes place in Richmond’s Main Street Station the weekend before Thanksgiving, but this year, VisArts made the wise decision to postpone the in-person event until June 4-6, 2021. Instead, they’re hosting an online event, November 20-29, to kick off the holiday shopping season! There are over 120artists participating from 25 states. Browse ceramics, jewelry, wearable art, wood + furniture, metal, mixed media, glass and fiber.

Can you see the animals? I made this lamp when Noa was in elementary school. It was a collaboration with all his classmates for a fundraising auction. Delia and I fell in love with it as we were putting it together...and ended bidding on it. The kids made clouds in the shape of animals , cut from milk jug containers.

Like many of you, we are overcome by the images of recent global disasters… and we want to help. Although many areas were devastated, we chose to start our efforts with those affected by Hurricane Irma. For the next 16 days, we are committing 10% of each sale from our website to Global Giving (https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/hurricane-irma-relief-fund/) for direct Hurricane Irma relief. We are entrusting our donation to GlobalGiving, in large part due to their focused, dedicated efforts and their transparency. To help with our efforts, simply type the word “DONOR” in the Notes Section of your cart when you are ready to check-out. Then… on the relief fund end date (Oct. 14th), we will tally the total and make a 10% donation to Global Giving. Currently, they are about $500,000 shy of raising the targeted $2 Million dollar campaign (although the target amount of $2 million looks very promising... should this campaign not achieve its crowd funding goal, we will reassign the moneys to a similar reputable agency).

Thank you Nilo Batle for the video. End of the Year Show, Note to Self(ie) is currently exhibited at San Francisco Arts Education Project's gallery located in Minnesota Street Project. The show has been extended so there's still opportunity to come check it out.
The Opening Reception for Strandbeest: The Dream Machines of Theo Jansen at Exploratorium tonight was fantastic. Nilo and Agelio Batle even got to try walking with one. Amazing combination of science, engineering, sculpture and more.... Check out Strandbeest Opening Weekend at the Exploratorium but the exhibition will run from Friday, May 27–Monday, September 5, 2016.
