Most of their guests arrived early, so Caitlin (she/her) and Melissa (she/her) started their wedding weekend with a casual breakfast, final setup, and people disappearing into creek tubing, hikes, and swims long before the ceremony kicked off.

They didn’t rush. About ninety minutes before the ceremony, they split off to get ready with their chosen people around them and then came back together for a simple exchange of vows. After that, everything flowed - no rigid schedule, just good food from Mexican on the Run, laughter, dancing, and speeches that landed in all the right places.

The first dance turned into parent dances and then a packed dance floor thanks to DJ Rosie Hicks. When the party slowed down, folks gathered around the fire for a set from a friend who had passed away, and that quiet winding-down felt just as important as all the high-energy moments earlier in the day.

Monyca (she/they) and Maria (she/her) got married on a dock at Lake Atitlán, in a place that already held years of their life inside it. Monyca had spent time working at Isla Verde Atitlan, so the setting wasn’t something new they discovered for the wedding - it was somewhere they already belonged.

Guests gathered in a circle around them, close enough to feel part of the moment rather than watching it from a distance. Ferns and greenery were woven through the space, and the lake sat still behind them while they exchanged vows.

When the ceremony finished, everyone moved together to dinner in the bamboo pavilion. Long tables, local flowers, candlelight, and no pressure to rush anywhere. Conversations stretched out, drinks kept coming, and the night unfolded the way good gatherings do when no one is in a hurry.

Later, with music playing and most of their friends on the dance floor, Monyca and Maria slipped back onto the dock for a quiet moment together. Fireworks went off over the water, and then they walked back into the celebration 🌈

Danielle (she/her) and Deanne (she/her) didn’t set out to elope ... they were planning a wedding with everyone they loved. But, something about the idea of being in the spotlight just didn’t feel like them.

When Danni suggested eloping at Mount Cootha Reserve in Brisbane, it didn’t feel like retreating - it felt like choosing authenticity.

They spent the morning together at home, sipping coffee and making wildflower bouquets, and then met at their ceremony spot to Hold Me by the Teskey Brothers. It was just the two of them, full of laughs, tears, and a handful of moments that felt sacred and simple all at once.

Family was woven into the day in a way that mattered - each person they loved recorded a line of a poem that was turned into an audio reading for the ceremony 🌹

After their vows, they walked home to share cake with their three dogs - Chase, Jesse, and Einstein - and then took photos around the place that means so much to them.

There was a bo***ir session in the middle of the day as a way to capture intimacy they’ll look back on as the years go by.

By night they swapped heels for boots and ended the day dancing at a Paramore gig - because it’s always been their soundtrack.

Mads (she/her) and Claire (she/her) weren’t planning anything grand when they started dating - just a first date at Lady of the Grapes in Covent Garden, two weeks and six more dates later, and suddenly they were locked into lockdown together thinking it’d only be a fortnight.

Instead, they spent that time cooking, walking, and accidentally falling in love ... long enough to know they wanted a life together.

When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they didn’t want something staged or formal - just a day that felt like them, where they could actually enjoy the company of everyone who mattered.

Three Mile Beach in Cornwall fit that perfectly - ocean views, laid-back energy, and a team who showed up like friends.

They made a lot of it themselves; a seating chart out of an old bodyboard, candle-dyeing nights, and handwritten letters for every single guest. They wrote vows that couldn’t keep anyone dry-eyed, one of them wrote a song and the other wrote a recipe book.

There was hail, indoor ceremonies, stolen wind-swept photos on the beach, laughs over golden hour drinks, and yes, a last-song Wonderwall singalong that will live in memory forever ❤️

Argerie and Taylor met at a friend’s wedding in Miami - which already feels like fate doing its thing. What started with dinner and dancing turned into years of long-distance FaceTime dates, cross-country visits, and slowly building a life together between Providence and New Orleans.

By the time they planned their own wedding at The Columns, they knew exactly what they wanted: a day that felt meaningful, not performative. A place that already held memories from an early date. Sash is the filmmaker behind Melbourne Wedding Videographer, and her whole thing is refusing to let your wedding day look like a stock cologne ad.

There's no forced walk-toward-camera moment. No "just act natural" while you very much do not feel natural. Just belly laughs, teary hugs, spontaneous dance moves, and whatever unhinged joy is actually happening in the room ❤️

They're based in Melbourne, but honestly she'll go wherever the love takes her.

Her favorite thing to film? Right after you sign the certificate, when the witnesses step away for their turn and it's suddenly just the two of you, married, for the very first time. No script, no direction, just the two of you catching your breath together. That's the good stuff!

Hinge changed Shane's location while she was visiting New York City, and that glitch led to this love story 💫221

One week together in Philadelphia was all it took to know they were in trouble. Not long after, Kathryn flew to Montana to meet Berkie, Shane's dog, for the all-important sniff of approval. He gave it immediately.

Shane knew she wanted to propose somewhere beautiful in the Montana mountains, but Kathryn had one very specific instruction: absolutely not during a hike (because of sausage fingers). So they planned a camping trip instead.

The day started with a hike to an alpine lake in the Crazy Mountains, wild berries as trail snacks along the way. Back at camp, they read, relaxed, and did nothing in particular, the kind of day where everything just feels easy. After dinner came a small campfire and roasted marshmallows.

Later that night, Kathryn mentioned offhand that the ring she knew Shane had would look perfect with her dress for an upcoming family wedding. Shane knew right then it was happening. Once they were cozy inside the camper, she pulled out the ring and asked the question ❤️

Kathryn said yes. Berkie was shown the ring immediately afterward and could not have cared less, far more interested in going back to sleep.

A week later, Kathryn proposed to Shane at home with a homemade scavenger hunt. Icing on the cake.
