"I took them into the dirt. And they loved it." 🎚️

Donald Glaude inherited the Friday residency at The Underground with no plan and no idea what the room wanted. So he played what he played at home.

"I didn't know what to expect. But it worked."

Eight hours a night, every genre he owned, lines around the block.

Ep 22 is out now — 35 years of Seattle rave, from The Underground to Joshua Tree.

The oral history of dance music, told by those who created it.

Our first-ever repeat guest is back.

Kelly Reverb takes us into a Dallas dance scene the history books skip: the Starck Club serving M**A on trays before it was illegal, Jerry Jones on his dance floor "before the veneers," and his track "Go Get On It" that ended up in Blade. Then he goes somewhere Part 1 never did — the drinking, getting sober, and the renaissance on the other side.

Part 2 is live. Link in bio. 🎧

Before it was illegal, they were serving it on trays.

Kelly Reverb takes us back to Dallas's Star Club — ground zero for M**A in the States, designed by world-famous architect Philippe Starck. For a brief window in the '80s it wasn't criminalized… so it just went around the room like ch*****ne. Then the laws caught up, because people were having too much fun and thinking a little too differently.

A snapshot of a club era that could never happen again. 🎧
