Here it is 2 YEARS LATER- The happened with my wedding dress story?!

I only ever tried on one gown and immediately knew it was the one. Everything felt easy to decide! Fast forward closer to the wedding and somehow during alterations the dress no longer fit the same. I couldn’t bring myself to love it anymore.

With just 3 weeks to go, I took the chance and ordered a gown online. But disaster struck- it was lost in transit.

1 Week left- After scouring every department store in the city, it became clear a white dress wasn’t in the cards for me.

Cue the off the rack golden gown that wasn’t exactly what I imagined, but it was mine. My one “must”? Sleeves! I no longer trusted the alterations shop & no one else has availability so a google sewing pattern would have to do. I figured it’d sleeves how hard could it be?
With a sewing machine, my google pattern and soon to be husband trying to learn how to sew at 2am the morning of our wedding we gave it our all.
Turns out it was really hard! Thankfully my sister in law knew how to work the machine a bit and was able to sew it together. Hours to the ceremony now I pulled out a GLUE GUN and GLUED those sleeves on 😂😂
Putting on the gown I had to laugh, remembering what I said to my husband during the early planning stages of our wedding. “I’d marry you in a paper bag dress in a Fremont alley.” And honestly? I would’ve.
That wild dress journey has become one of my favorite memories, at the end of the day my best friend and I said I Do so that was all that really mattered 🤍
