It was such a pleasure to work on this tabletop design which was featured in Ceremony Magazine this month. Besides being an amazing designer, Lavonne Crawford is also a lover of animals. During our shoot a beautiful humming bird hit the glass of Green Acres (the venue we were shooting at). LaVonne jumped into action grabbed a box and some foliage and put the poor little thing in a the box. She then googled how to help it. Next thing I know she is making sugar water and feeding it to the bird through a straw. We went back to the shoot. When we were done we took the box outside. LaVonne picked up the humming bird and cupped it in her hands. She opened her hands and the bird sat in her palms for at least 10 seconds before it flew away. It was as if it was saying 'thank you' to the sweet lil gal that saved it. She is so talented in more ways than one. :)
