Bare feet on the deck, sun warming their faces, and the San Diego bay glittering like confetti.
These two danced holding onto each other like time didn’t exist…San Diego’s skyline fading into the background while everyone they love laughed, toasted, and danced around them.
It wasn’t perfection… it was real and perfect for them. The kind of memory they’ll tell their grandkids about someday as they flip through their photos: “we didn’t need a ballroom, just the ocean and our people.”

Somewhere in the past Elopements got a bad rep…
Elopements aren’t just courthouse weddings or last-minute decisions—they’re intentional, deeply personal celebrations.
They’re not about running away in secret or skipping traditions; they’re about creating a day that’s entirely focused on you.
Eloping doesn’t mean you can’t have beautiful florals, luxury details, or even a small group of loved ones—it just means ditching the stress and expectations of a big wedding.
It’s not selfish, and it’s certainly not something you’ll regret.
Whether you want an epic adventure or an intimate, cozy moment, an elopement is just as real, meaningful, and memorable as any traditional wedding—if not more.
The beauty of an elopement or intimate wedding is you can do whatever it is you want and have the flexibility to have it just about anywhere and get as detailed or as simple as you desire.

My obsession with Italy is on another level.
After spending dreamy summer days there—like this one—I’ve been manifesting my future Italian life. Will I actually move there? Probably not. But will I keep dreaming (and casually browsing Zillow Italy)? Absolutely. 🏡 🏔️🍇

Lately, I’ve been binge-watching every movie about Americans moving to Italy—because what’s better than a life filled with love, pasta, and scenic piazzas? 🍝 💘

While a one-way ticket may not be in my near future, I am ready to go back and capture some incredible love stories. Just say the word—my airline search tab is always open. 💻 🔎💺

Also, can we talk about how getting married overseas isn’t nearly as complicated as we make it out to be? Shooting a wedding in Florence felt surprisingly similar to shooting one in Paso Robles California —just with a lot more historic charm (and better carbs).

When the inspo is…. “You are my best friend” 🫶🏽🥹
Engagement photos! I’m lowkey obsessed with these shoots… they are relaxed… playful… romantic and endearing. 🥰
This session was all about showing their love and friendship with each other. We went to their favorite place … we even started out with them paddle boarding with their pups, and then posed with his vintage car… but my favorite part of the shoot was when they were wrapped in each others arms and being silly with each other. As you can see in these photos. 👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏽

One of my all time favorite locations to shoot in the Bay Area… 📍Palace of Fine Arts.
If you haven’t gone… I highly recommend.
If you’re eloping at SF city hall or anywhere in or near SF city… consider popping over to Palace of Fine Arts for very lux dramatic photo location.
It also would make an epic engagement photo location.

I stay so busy capturing the magic of “big days” that I often find myself looking ahead—anticipating the next amazing couple, the next breathtaking location, and the excitement of delivering timeless memories. But every now and then, something pulls me back. Like today, when I was reminded of this stunning SF City Hall wedding I photographed two years ago.

The memory came rushing back during a conversation with a 2025 bride who’s dreaming up her own SF City Hall elopement. It hit me—these aren’t just your cherished memories. They’re mine too. Every gallery I deliver holds a piece of my heart, and I feel so grateful to have played a role in these intimate, once-in-a-lifetime moments.

It’s a reminder for me to pause, reflect, and honor the beautiful stories I’ve been entrusted with over the years.

This year has been a bit of a roller coaster for me in life and business. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is feeling that. But I try and focus on gratitude when life gets heavy.
On of the top things I’m grateful for everyday is YOU!
My audience, clients who trust me to photograph their special days, special milestones and the very photos that help market to their audience.
I really love doing this work. Even when it gets hard… I can’t imagine not doing this work.

I’m now a big fan of sunset ceremonies 😍
The light was so good and the hills were full of color for Daniel + Lauren’s ceremony this weekend. These are just a few sneak peeks and I’m drooling over the creamy soft light.
The beauty of an intimate wedding is you have the time flexibility to pull off a later ceremony. And boy am I glad they did.
Creating a timeline for a wedding day isn’t easy. But with my experience as a planner and photographer I am here to help you figure out where to fit In the elements in order to get the outcome that you want. This timeline took some strategic planning… like getting most of the portraits done pre ceremony.
