Interesting things going on in the shop this week! In this clip we are experimenting with VR/AR technology to do live compositing using a large LED wall as the background. Notice how the perspective of the background changes based on the position of the camera. It's a little hard to see in this video, but it actually looks like Jeremy is in that gym playing basketball. Incredibly realistic!

Yesterday was Gravity Productions' 20th anniversary! We weren't able to party exactly the way we had hoped, but we did get together for a celebratory video chat.

Some people say this is an equipment business, but we've always believed it's the people who drive our success. We'd like to extend a special thanks to all of the innumerable people who have helped us make our dreams a reality over these past couple decades.

One of the last events we did before the current disruptions was part four of the Ryan Annual Firm Meeting in India.

By using 4 cameras to capture the initial event in the United States, we are able to facilitate the subsequent meetings they do around the world with high quality, immersive recordings that are used in place of a live presentation from an executive that can not make it to any given version of the event.

We were all set up to do a live webcast of Friday night services for Congregation Beth Israel of San Diego last week when the governor's order to quarantine came down. Fortunately we had the foresight to do a recording on Thursday and they were able to broadcast that live instead!

Despite the current difficulties in our industry, we are feeling thankful for a plethora of communication tools that are at our fingertips right now. Over the years, Gravity Productions has managed over a hundred webcasts and satellite broadcasts for events large and small: everything from quarterly town halls transmitted to thousands of employees, to medical training earning CME credits, to simple remote presentations by a single speaker from home. We even have experience cleaning snow off of satellite dishes!
