LAX/Metro transit center opens. Travelers will take shuttle rides between the airport and the center until the automated people mover train opens next year. While this wont affect groups flying into town it will reduce traffic congestion for arrivals/departures at LAX - yay! Getting ready for FIFA World Cup and the Olympics.

The Los Angeles-area transit system will achieve a major milestone Friday with the long-awaited opening of the LAX/Metro Transit Center station.

Yay! We have pandas again at the San Diego Zoo. Yun Chuan and Xin Bao will spend the next couple of weeks acclimating to their new home. They're being monitored closely by expert wildlife health and care teams who will determine when the pair are ready to meet the public. Be sure to come and meet them! Stay tuned for details.
