Some of the VHS tapes we've been transferring lately have been in pretty bad shape. One tape has so many dropouts that parts of the picture are actually missing. Sadly we weren't able to transfer a few tapes that were in such bad shape our machine refuse to play them. VHS and VHS-C tapes can only preserve their original image quality for the first 7-10 years after being recorded before the picture begins to deteriorate. Don't wait too long.
