The Thursday Club was formed in 1921 when four young women propose the beginnings of a club that would combine social activities with worthwhile Civic and benevolent projects.

Now in their 104th year, The Thursday Club is still thriving and giving back to the San Diego community. It’s an incredible group of volunteers!

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, it’s fitting that The Thursday Club is holding its biggest fundraiser of the year. The annual rummage sale at the Balboa Park activity center. Today March 8 from 9 AM to 4 PM and tomorrow March 9 from 10 AM to 2 PM.

San Diego’s largest rummage sale, started in 1927, will be held again in on Saturday March 8 and Sunday March 9, 2025. New and gently-used merchandise, including jewelry, art/frames, antiques, collectibles, furniture, sporting equipment, holiday and home décor, kitchenware and small appliances, toys, electronics, books and clothing will be sold to raise money for Balboa Park and community non-profits.

The Thursday Club Rummage Sale 2024 - NEW LOCATION!
It's BACK! Saturday March 9 & Sunday March 10, 2024 at the NEW LOCATION - Balboa Park Municipal Gym 2111 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101 (right across Park Blvd from last year's location)
The 95th annual Thursday Club Rummage Sale -- San Diego's largest thrift, estate and garage sale - will be held on Saturday, March 9, from 9 am - 4 pm, and Sunday, March 10, from 10 am - 2 pm in the Balboa Park Municipal Gym. All proceeds will benefit local San Diego community charities from children to the elderly, health, veterans, arts, life skills, animals, nature and education.

There will be thousands of items, treasures and bargains galore. There will be gently-used merchandise: antiques, appliances, art, books, clothes and accessories, electronics, furniture, garden, holiday, housewares, jewelry, linens, pet items, sporting goods, toys, and more. The Thursday Club is a group of volunteer women dedicated to educational, cultural, social, moral and civic activities.
