✨️ This Year with Rachel ✨️

❓️ Do you have a vacation this year you are looking forward to?
🟰 My family is going to Japan! This will be my third time there (and my husband’s fourth time there) and we are excited to share the experience with our 2 kids. Plus we are going during cherry blossom season!!!

❓️ Do you have any personal goals this year?
🟰 Last year I started ice skating lessons, and I would love to continue learning and improving this year. Perhaps I can actually become more graceful by the end of this year, haha!

❓️ What season are you most looking forward to this year?
🟰 I love every season, but I am particularly excited for spring because that is my birthday season and I’ve always felt connected to spring.

❓️ Is there a specific wedding venue you are particularly excited to work at this year?
🟰 This August I have a backyard wedding that I am very much looking forward to.... it’s rewarding to help transform a blank space to become a magical event!

❓️ What is something you want to let go of this year?
🟰 I want to let go of unnecessary worrying, because it does not have a good effect on my mind!

🏠️ FUN FACTS:⁠⁠ "I got ready for the wedding at my childhood home, where my parents still live. It meant the world to me. I remember playing dress up in white dresses as a five-year-old in the living room we hung my veil in. /// I requested calla lilies for my bouquet because that is the flower that my mom and dad had on their wedding invitation...and because they're beautiful! /// The priest that married us is a friend of my late grandfather and he made the ceremony SO personal, so meaningful, and memorable. /// Mickey wore his late grandfather's pin on his suit lapel, and his suit was custom-made so the date of our wedding was on the inside of the jacket collar, and Mickey's name was sewn into the jacket. Our friend, who is a shoe designer, also engraved our names and wedding date onto Mickey's dress shoes."

💙Wearing "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue" is said to bring good luck and love.

🪙The father of the bride might give the bride a sixpence coin in her shoe before the ceremony.

🌧️Having rain on the wedding day is said to be good luck and mean the marriage will last.

💐The bride might toss her bouquet to single women to pass on good luck and happiness.

🔔Ringing bells at the wedding symbolizes the union of the couple and is thought to bring good luck.

🌕️Marrying during a full moon is said to bring good luck.

💦 whirlpool bath relaxation and maybe a cold plunge in my pool on occasion!

🗣️ Talk my husband’s ear off about all the cool things that happened while he sleeps/ignores me LOL!

🥱 Try to fall asleep, but my mind usually is racing with all of the fun moments of the day⁠⁠⁠

Last month our team had our annual New Year Celebration... this year we got *creative* with pottery painting and candle making at (4S Ranch location). 🖌️ We always have a wonderful time together!!! 🎨
