How the heck do you even figure out your wedding budget? Follow these steps 👇🏻

01. Compile your guest list. This is super important to start with because it is an important factor in your initial planning steps!

02. Start by writing down the list of people you cannot imagine your wedding day without.

03. Keep in mind that the MORE guests you invite, the MORE money you will spend.

04. Determine how much you and your fiancé will contribute. Also think about whether you want to utilize debit cards vs credit cards.

05. Ask your parents if they plan on contributing anything. Do not go in expecting anything!

06. Determine your must-haves and non-negotiables. This can include vendors you’re dying to work with, flowers, photos, etc.

07. Rank items/vendors from most to least important. Include your must-haves at the top of this list!

08. Allocate your budget to each vendor category so you know how much you have to spend with each vendor. Then start planning!

Happy December 1st! Can you even believe this year is almost over? Who else is happy to see 2020 finally come to an end? 🙋🏻‍♀️

I took a bit of a hiatus from this account because I needed a break. A break from watching our industry crumble. A break from seeing couple after couple postponing or cancelling their weddings. A break from wedding planning in general.

It’s been an interesting experience to be a wedding planner AND a bride during 2020, to say the least. It’s not fun on either side of it. There’s been many days filled with stress, tears, and frustration but there’s also been even more days filled with love, understanding, and excitement.

This experience has reminded me why I got into this industry in the first place. It’s not about a huge celebration with tons of people and things. It’s about this right here - your relationship and the life commitment you’re making with each other.

Mason and I are still saying “I do” on our original date, it will just look a bit different than we originally planned and we’re okay with that. I can’t wait to have the honor of being his wife 🤍
