Hello, all my insomniacs! I’m putting out the vibes to DJ at Camp OG this year at Nocturnal. The one year I was added to the Camp OG stage but didn’t get a time slot. I was super excited that I was asked to play alongside some legendary insomniac OGs, but when the time came, no one knew when I was supposed to play. Later on, I heard there was some politics in play as to who was in charge of timeslots and lineup. No biggie. I was just happy to be part of the experience.
Me (at the time) being new to the whole camp OG family and experience, I didn’t want to be too pushy or annoying by asking for something that I wasn’t even sure if it was supposed to happen in the first place.
The past 10 years have been a rollercoaster to say the least…getting divorced, battling addiction & alcohol abuse, fighting against lies to have my children in my life, focusing on a new career, rebuilding trust with friends and family, renewing my faith in my Lord and Savior, JC.
This year would mark 10 years since my name first appeared on a Camp OG lineup, and 25 years since I first attended Nocturnal Wonderland!
I know I’m not as relevant as most of the people who deserve to be on these lineups. I’ve put DJing on the side and I’ve had to pause on hosting events like Playdate and SoundByte. The past several years, I’ve been staying local to San Diego and playing some shows in this area, so that way I stay close to my kids.
Since my son is 18 now, I’m also getting some extra free time for myself during the weekends, since he has his own schedule. I also have two daughters and I have them every other weekend, so that time is put aside solely for them. I don’t have to be close to home as much as I have the past several years, but I still would like to keep my gigs at one month.
Keeping my September open for Nocturnal if the stars align ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
