Today was a great day of connection, community, and learning.
I had the pleasure of meeting some local ranchers and producers, including Chuck Hannah of Horizon Ranch, Steve Smith of Smith Pastures, and Pura Vida Farm SA. Iβm truly grateful for the opportunity to connect with people who care deeply about the food they raise, grow, and share with the community.
As Grains & Grace continues to grow, one of my goals is to be more intentional about where our ingredients come from. I want our meal prep clients to know that their food is not only prepared with care, but also sourced with purpose whenever possible.
Today, we got to learn more about locally raised chicken, beef, fresh produce, and even raw milk from Pura Vida Farm SA. We had the opportunity to hear more about why they believe in what they do, the difference in their farming practices, and the care that goes into their products. We even had the chance to purchase and try some of their raw milk, which made the experience even more meaningful.
Iβm especially looking forward to testing out the chicken drumsticks I received from Steve Smith and finding creative ways to highlight these local products in meals clients will enjoy.
There is something special about being able to connect the food on the plate back to the people, farms, ranches, and stories behind it.
Thank you, Chuck Hannah of Horizon Ranch, Steve Smith of Smith Pastures, and Pura Vida Farm SA for taking the time to connect today. I look forward to learning more about your stories, your ranches, your farms, and why you do what you do so I can share that with my clients and community.
Good food starts with good people, and today was a reminder of that.
