Who wants to be “kinda chic” when you can be a total badass? 10 years of chasing this goal, this moment, this dream - all came down to Saturday when Hannah officially and FINALLY graduated with her Master’s Degree in Forensic Nursing.

While I have the pleasure of spending one of the best days with my couples, Hannah stands by her patients on one of their darkest, and I couldn’t think of a better person to have in their corner advocating for them.

Hannah. You are brave, you are strong, and you can (and did!) do hard things. I’m so damn proud of you. Now, go be the good this world so desperately needs.

I want to preface this by saying I’m not a self-proclaimed expert at anything. But after photographing more than 250 weddings, everything from intimate elopements to celebrations with over 700 guests, I’ve learned a few things.

The biggest one?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Live for the moments.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What do I mean by that?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Trends are fun. Photo ops are cool. But the photos you’ll treasure the most decades from now won’t be the ones that went viral—they’ll be the ones rooted in real memories.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The first look with your dad. Your grandmother praying over you. Your mom helping you into your dress. Your best friends dancing around in pajamas, laughing so hard your stomach hurts.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Those are the moments that matter.

Bride + Groom details I REFUSE to stop obsessing over. Half because they are gorgeous, the other half because when is Texas grass ever this green?

Lately I have been playing around with “flat lay” details on wedding days, and I am super into it. Don’t get me wrong, the mats are gorgeous but there is something so personal about using the venue surroundings for these that just make each gallery tailored to the couple and reflective of their day.
