Our April vendor spotlight: DJ TJ’s Live Entertainment !!
His story:
“I’ve been a musician my whole life! I’m an avid music lover, and will pick 80’s and 90’s R&B every time. I’ve been playing the Saxophone since middle school, and the Drums since high school. I kinda stumbled across DJing in college, and spent my first two years playing in the clubs in downtown Augusta; like Sole, Soul Bar, Miami Vybz, and Bar on Broad (Dirty Boots). After I DJ’d my first wedding, the rest was history. Being able to provide the soundtrack to a couple’s Biggest Day is such an honor, and it’s so much fun being able to connect with couples and their families of all ages on the dance floor.”

I’ve been really fortunate to meet some amazing people along the way, and now we have even more ways to make Weddings amazing. Our packages range from simple and intimate, all the way up to a Full Club- Like Experience. We even have options like a Saxophone/DJ Fusion, Traditional and 360 Photo booth, Cold Sparkler Machines, and more!”

“Couples should get excited about creating their Dream Party when they book with us! We give you a Personalized app to share all of your Wedding details and favorite song choices/requests, and we bring that to life on Wedding Day! We also have Planning meetings to make sure that your Wedding will look and go exactly how you’ve always wanted; from the music when guests arrive at your ceremony, all the way to the last song of the night.”
What sets him apart from other vendors:
“I think what sets me apart as a DJ is that I’m having just as much fun as you. I scratch and use creative blends when I'm DJing, and I’m always dancing behind the booth in between mixes. I find joy in DJing, and I don’t mind showing it.”
Favorite first dance song:
“Promise” by Romeo Santos ft. Usher. That was my first dance song, and I find my wife to dance anytime I hear it.
Fun facts:
“I played both Saxophone and Drums in my local church my entire childhood.
I am bilingual! I speak fluent Spanish, and my wife is Chilean.
I wear fun socks 99% of the time.
My favorite artists are T-Pain, Olivia Dean, Jill Scott, Marc Anthony, J Cole, and Earth, Wind, and Fire.”
