We set out to make people cry the good cry.
You know the one. The moment the cake comes out and the room goes completely still. When the bride reaches for her person's hand without looking. When the mother of the groom says "oh my god" under her breath and then laughs because she can't believe a cake made her do that.
We set out to create that moment. Over and over again, for every couple, in every season, for every love story that walked through our door.
Somewhere along the way, the awards followed. Nearly every year.
Year after year, Buttercream Cakes has been recognized as one of the best wedding cake bakeries in the Twin Cities. Not because we chased the recognition — but because we refused to make a single cake that wasn't worthy of the moment it was made for.

The buttercream smoothed until it was flawless.
The detail that nobody asked for but we added anyway because it was right.
