Being a wedding DJ comes with the expectation of needing to play Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Dancing Queen, and many more predictable songs.

There’s nothing wrong with those songs, but my clients almost never want “traditional” and that’s my favorite thing about this job. Afterwards it’s not uncommon to hear comments like this.

If you want a basic wedding that has the same playlist variety as the Spotify playlist of top 100 wedding songs, I can do it, but I’m probably not gonna be your best choice for a DJ.

Our bride and groom was heavy on their pop punk for their wedding. The night before, I shared an awesome video clip of this track and got the “we’re so excited!” comment on it. I knew I needed to play it on their wedding day.

The rollercoaster of emotions I felt as I watched a guest give me live feedback was unexpected 🤣

When it comes to song requests I’ve seen and heard it all. I’ve had someone request by lyrics, they have hummed it, I’ve even had the phone in the face move, but never a “here’s the dance, play that song” 🤣

A totally unexpected dance practice was just enough to try and get the memory working on this song request.

After every event I grab a photo with my couples and also this is where a lot of my feedback comes from. I’ve left the camera rolling a few times and you get to hear all the candid comments. It really is an awesome job to give people the best day and they thank you like this.

In today’s world of fast fashion, having your clothes altered has become a dying art. With Kapp-Ture tailoring, that problem is seen and met with a modern twist.

I am a DJ on the weekends and what we wear and how we present ourselves matters a lot. That’s where Marcus and his expertise comes into play.

I gave Marcus the vision of what I like my clothes to fit like and he took my pile of clothes and returned with them fitting perfectly.

I love the fact he also makes house calls within reasonable distance as well for a small fee. In an age where shopping online is the new convenience concept, I am trying to bring back the roots of it all and love his in-home visit. The main shop is also downtown Saginaw for anyone who wants to stop in as well.

Part of being a DJ is playing songs that guests didn’t know they wanted to hear. Pair that up with using 3rd and 4th best songs by artists and everyone will feel like the dance music is fresh!
