Joe Hunt Series Returns To Action in Antioch on Saturday Night!

4/22/25… Antioch, California: On Saturday Night, The Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Sprint Tour, presented by Transport Products Unlimited returns to action at Antioch Speedway. It begins a busy stretch of racing action for the series.

The last time the Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Sprint Tour, presented by Transport Products Unlimited visited Antioch Speedway was during October of the 2024 season for its Track-N-Treat Night. In the end, it was Day Day Lindt who grabbed the win.

Saturday Night will be the 3rd points race of the season for the series. After around a month off from racing action, the series now heads into a stretch of three straight weekends of racing action.

The Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Sprint Tour, presented by Transport Products Unlimited will be joined by five other divisions on Saturday Night. The BCRA Lightning Sprints, 600 Micro Sprints, Dwarf Cars, Pacific Coast Hobby Stocks, & Super Stocks will also be in action on Saturday.

Pit Gates will open at 2:00pm on Saturday, with gates opening at 4:00pm, Hot Laps starting at 5:30pm, & racing action starting at 6:00pm. The race will have a B-main purse, with the feature event paying $200 to start & $1500 to win the feature event.

Josh Young Grabs Win in Placerville Opener on Saturday Night!

3/25/25… Placerville, California: On Saturday Night, The Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Sprint Tour, presented by Transport Products Unlimited was back in action at the Placerville Speedway for the second points race of the 2025 season!

Twenty Five cars ended up signing in to the Placerville Speedway pit area on Saturday Night. Kicking off the night with time trials, it was the #32 of Shawn Arriaga who was the Joe Hunt Magnetos Fast Qualifier.

Heat Race action was exciting on Saturday Night, & kicked off with the of Josh Young winning Benic Enterprises Heat Race #1. A.R.T Enterprises Speed Equipment Heat Race #2 was captured by the of Bryant Bell, while King Racing Products Heat Race #3 was won by the #36 of Bob Newberry.

The 25-lap feature would be another exciting one. When the green flag fell, it was Shane Hopkins who jumped out to the lead, with Jake Morgan trying to track him down in 2nd. While trying to reel him in, Jake Morgan would get upside down & end his night, but was luckily okay.

When the green flag dropped again, the racing would be exciting up front. Young, Bell, Hopkins, Steck, & Moniz all battled up front trading positions & fighting for the lead as the feature went on.

Ultimately, it was the of Josh Young who was able to grab the win. Next to him on the podium was the of Bryant Bell who would grab 2nd, & the #21 of Shane Hopkins who rounded out the podium in 3rd.
