Last week, our studio had the incredible honor of capturing Kwibuka 32 at California State University, Sacramento, a deeply meaningful event commemorating the lives lost during the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda. The event included the unveiling of a memorial statue and brought together the Rwandan community in Northern CA, along with dignitaries from Rwanda, including ministers and the Rwandan Ambassador to the United States. It was emotional, powerful, and truly unforgettable. As someone who lived through the genocide, witnessing this moment of remembrance and unity here in my own community was something I can hardly put into words.
And a special thank you to my friends at for the beautiful contribution of flowers surrounding the statue and helping make the space feel so meaningful and alive.
