🏃🏽‍♀️ Another Successful Year of the Matt Tipton 5k Scholarship Walk and Run.
What an amazing day! Another 5K Run is officially in the books, and once again, our community showed up in a BIG way! From the runners and walkers to the volunteers, supporters, sponsors, and everyone who helped make the event possible—thank you!
It was a day filled with energy, encouragement, determination, and community spirit. Every step, every mile, and every finish line represented something bigger than the race itself.
Congratulations to everyone who participated! Another reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together.
Until next year… keep moving, keep inspiring, and keep showing up! 🏃🏽‍♂️

🎺 COME HOME, RUSSELLVILLE! 🎺
The trumpet is sounding in Logan County!
For over 150 years, our people have gathered on the Eighth of August to celebrate the day word of freedom finally reached the enslaved in these hills. Freedom was signed on paper — but it became real when the news arrived, when shouts went up, and when a free people started building churches with their own hands.
This year, come celebrate on holy ground.
On Thursday, August 6th at 7:00 PM, we’re raising the tent for an Old Fashioned Tent Revival at historic Mount Gilead Baptist Church — 1479 West Old Volney Road, Olmstead, KY 42265 — right in the heart of Eighth of August week.
This is what the Bible calls JUBILEE — Leviticus 25 — when the trumpet blows, the captives go free, the land is restored, and everybody comes home. Our ancestors lived it. This August, we return to the ground they consecrated to celebrate the freedom God gave and the faith they kept.
Come expecting: 🙌 Anointed preaching and old-time singing under the tent 🕊️ A celebration of emancipation and the God who sets captives free 🏛️ The honoring of a living legacy in Logan County
Bring your family. Bring your neighbors. Bring your lawn chairs and your praise. Whether your roots run deep in this county or you’re just hungry for a fresh word, there’s a seat under this tent with your name on it.
The ground remembers. The trumpet is blowing. It’s time to COME HOME.
