Monday Morning Musings

Peonies! When our load arrived this week, there were boxes of peonies on it. That means peony season is upon us! Availability will be tight and prices a bit high to start with as always, but we don’t see any issues with quality or availability this season, including around Mother’s Day. We just sent out our first flyer with peony pricing on it. If you are a customer with us and aren’t receiving these emails, reach out to us and we will get you added to our email list.

We are less than 4 weeks from Mother’s Day. Special pricing on a good spread of our normal stock of vases is due this Friday. Lock in these prices while you can and save yourself money. Otherwise, if you still haven’t got your Mother’s Day orders in, you need to do that yesterday! Don’t find yourself short on product or scrambling for flowers on Mother’s Day weekend.

Monday Morning Musings

Now that we have our page up and running again, we are starting a new thing we’re calling “Monday Morning Musings.” Here, we will lay out some thoughts for the week ahead in the floral industry, along with some notes about deadlines and other important information. Also, we’ll plan on actually sending it out in the morning, and not at 2 in the afternoon, but we all know how Monday’s can go…

Easter is officially behind us, so now it’s full steam ahead for Mother’s Day. If you haven’t got your Mother’s Day orders in, you need to do that this week! Deadlines for early pricing prebooks have already passed and we are entering the time where prices will start going up and availability is going to become limited. You are still OK to get your orders in now, but we would advise you not to wait. Call or email to lock your orders in ASAP!

Otherwise, the rest of this week is looking standard. We’ve got our usual great selection in both our bunch cooler as well as in our greenhouse for any bouquet orders or funerals you have come in this week. Keep an eye out for our usual weekly special flyers in your email and here on social media. Oh, and keep an eye here going forward every Monday for our musings!
