This event benefits Alzheimer's research, which hits very close to home. My mother died of this awful disease, and it is heartbreaking to watch someone go through this. All you folks offering to help: thank you so very much. The best way to help is to come get some food. We're anchored at today with a hastily cobbled together menu of things and stuff. Come marvel at the arbitrary selection and praise the motor gods with us (and by motor god, I mean my assistant/bestie's husband).

I think I owe y'all an explanation.
To put it bluntly, over the past month, my truck has been breaking faster than I can afford the money and time to fix it. This in turn has cost me even more money in cancelled gigs, well over $1000 this month in parts alone, and most critically, lost credibility and integrity from/to my hosts. This is something I've done everything in my power to avoid, but alas, the Horrors persist beyond my control.
Now, does this mean the End for EVO Food Truck, Catering, Emergency Roadside Repair (and, I don't know, designer shovels)? No, it most certainly does not. It just means I'll have to take a step back, get a couple side gigs to fund repairs to Theseus, and hopefully rebuild my reputation for being awesome and reliable. Fret not, I'm not giving up or quitting. I love what I do too much to roll over like that. Plus, I kinda can't afford to.

I just wanted to hop on and thank everyone for the great day yesterday at . It was a fantastic day (despite the afternoon rain squall), and y'all kept us so busy I didn't have time or energy to take pictures, thus the silly meme. This is one of my favorite events of the year, and it's worth doing every single time. The amount of love, community, and joy felt all around always astounds me, and assures me that we, as a community of weirdos, are on the right side of history, and I'm so very happy to be a part of it. So be loud, and be proud, and never apologize for being your true selves. Thank you again to all my Gaybies and Theybies and Maybies. You're all absolutely fabulous.

Hey y'all, I know it's been a bit. But! Just wanted to say happy Pride month to everyone, and say that I'll be at this Saturday! We here at EVO Food Truck and Catering (and apparently emergency roadside truck repair), support anyone loving their lives, loving who they love, and being their genuine selves.
