The decision to record If I Ain't Got You was a natural one for SalSoul. Known as "a-chu" to Salsoul musicians past and present;), the song is originally a soulful ballad by Alicia Keys. This re-take infuses the song with a salsa rhythm, making it danceable while still maintaining its emotional depth. The lyrics are sung in both English and Spanish, underscoring the band's ability to bridge languages and cultures. The song's simple yet powerful message about love and longing reflects the essence of the band's mission: to bring people together through music.
This album is dedicated to our audiences and each other. For many of us, music is not just a passion but a vital outlet, and we are grateful for the support we've received over the years.
