This year marks an incredible milestone for me — celebrating 25 years hosting karaoke with Chubby’s Karaoke!

What started as helping with the family business turned into a lifelong passion filled with unforgettable nights, amazing friendships, thousands of songs, and memories I’ll never forget.

To everyone who has ever grabbed a microphone, requested a song, danced, laughed, or supported me along the way — THANK YOU. You’ve made this journey something truly special.

Saddened to hear that the lead singer from 3 Doors Down passed away. The band helped define the rock and alternative space during the 2000s. Rest in peace. 

Brad Arnold, frontman and founder of 3 Doors Down, has died.

Back in August 2024, I thought my Beatles anthology collection was complete. I had gone to Beatlefest and picked up volumes one through three. Fast-forward a few months and here we are. Thanks for my dad for sending me the “maybe “the final anthology volume in the series.

🎤 Before my wife, Janelle…before our kids, Taylor and James Allen....before Honeywell and InVue and ABC Supply and CFS Enterprises…There was entertaining 175-225 people a night with Chubby Karaoke! 🎶

Not a lot of people know this about me, but our family has owned a DJ & Karaoke company in Charlotte since 1989. From 2001 to 2015, I was in it multiple nights a week — hosting over 1,250 karaoke shows, DJ’ing 55+ weddings, and bringing the music to countless private parties and corporate events.

Some of my best memories (and late nights!) came from behind that mic — seeing people light up when their song came on, watching shy singers turn into rock stars, and helping create those “you had to be there” moments.

It’s a big part of my history, and something I’ll always be proud of. 🎵
