Love when a client gives me a great palette and creative freedom! She LOVED figs and asked me to incorporate them I to her wedding flowers. Loving the finished product! 💕

Okay, switching gears from weddings to something a little more urgent, Valentine’s Day is THIS Friday.

I’m taking local orders for Valentine’s delivery right here in Rock Hill. Whether it’s the classic dozen roses, a mixed bouquet, or something a little more unique (my specialty), I’ve got you covered.

Order here: www.rockhillsflorist.com

Fair warning, I fill up every year and I’d rather give you something incredible than rush through a hundred orders. Don’t wait on this one.

I’m terrible at posting my own work. I’ll spend hours prepping and designing flowers and forget to take a photo before they go out the door. So, here’s me trying to be better about that. These are from the last few weeks, weddings, events, and a few local deliveries that I actually remembered to photograph. If you ever wonder what I’m up to these days, this is it…. Designing flowers for weddings and events through my company What’s Up Buttercup and making local flower deliveries happen through my other site rockhillsflorist.com.

While the flowers are now done in house, I’m so grateful I get to come back to every year for Christmas. This beast of a tree has definitely evolved over the years.

If anyone asks why I don’t just ‘order’ flowers from other countries- why I like buying local flowers and supporting local flower farms……
THIS. This right here….
Thank you to the local farms that pour their heart and soul into every bloom so that it can make every event amazing.

believes so much in the power of a single bloom, that she once told me something that I’ve never forgotten. She said, ‘as a designer, if the day ever comes when you can’t find a quiet spot in your studio to design something for yourself and the flowers stop bringing you happiness, that’s the day to stop designing.’ While the past few years have been a roller coaster of events and emotions, highs and lows, gains and losses, my one constant has always been the flowers. In my most uncertain moments and deepest losses, they have always kept me centered and have never stopped bringing me happiness. They have never, not once, lost their magic. I know that not everyone gets to make a living doing something they love. But today, I am grateful for the people in my life that have encouraged me, pushed me, hired me and believed in me to make a life doing something I love.

Every wedding is unique just like every couple and their love story. When trying to help clients who love certain looks but have a budget to be respectful of, why not help them look for ways to get more use from their flowers? We love how this couple was able to use their altar centerpieces again at the reception as an elevated centerpiece.
