Elevated Sol - Our Story
We're Yvonne and Henry Santiago, the proud new owners of Elevated Sol. While we may be newcomers to the Downtown restaurant scene, our deep love for food has always been our shared language of love - making this venture a true passion project for us.
With our background in remodeling through our construction company, we genuinely enjoyed handling the build-out ourselves, putting our personal touch into every corner of this space.
As Puerto Ricans, we're excited to share select staples from our upbringing, though we've created a diverse menu beyond just Puerto Rican cuisine. Our Hispanic heritage influences everything we do - from the flavors on your plate to the salsa rhythms playing softly in the background as you dine. Music runs in our family (my father was recently inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame!), and the sounds of Puerto Rico are as much a part of our story as the food.
Living in Puerto Rico as a child, I fell in love with everything the island has to offer. We hope to bring a little piece of that magic to Elevated Sol and share it with you. Our menu will evolve over time, and we're planning to host special tasting events in the very near future.
Above all, we've created Elevated Sol to be a place where people come to eat, drink, laugh, and stay awhile. This isn't just a restaurant—it's an experience. Please stay tuned for future fun events!
