Our main goal with fellow vendors is to make your day perfect and I love it when we can all come together and do our jobs. But because we’ve apparently had a lot confusion this year. Let me break it down for you. …
It is up to your coordinators to make your tables look special and it is up to your Coordinator to bring us the plates if you want to be fed befor the rest of the guests. It is up to your Coordinator to make sure you have the right markers for your wood sign, it is up to them to make sure the alcohol goes where it needs to go because it’s in our contract we cannot move alcohol. It’s illegal in the state of Virginia. We can only serve. It’s up to your Coordinator to show all the other vendors where they need to be and go because they constantly come back to us to ask us where they need to set up. It is up to your coordinators to make sure we have a seating chart if we’re goingput out the specialty napkins with their names on them help us help you knowing all that is not on us setting up for your food and feeding your guests is our job. It is also finally your Coordinator‘s job to let us know if anything goes off kilter the timeline because it always does. There’s so much more.
Our main priority is your food, not showing up three hours early to make sure your napkins with specific names napkin holders to be put out on your tables or. We are happy to help and we tell them we are happy to help if we have the time and we told this Coordinator that we could help until 345. My staff stayed till almost 4. They put the napkins with all the specific names, but we’re not given a chart where these napkins go. When they expressed this to Coordinator she said well it’s not my problem. I have to go get dressed. So we had to leave them on the table they were made on. And we got in trouble for it! Unfortunately we cannot get there 3 to 4 hours prior to set up for your Coordinator she’s the one getting paid for that especially if you pick a Venue with no Kitchen, we want your food to be perfect. We do not want. It’s sitting while we’re decorating tables. That is your Coordinator’s deal. If you want servers to come earlier, I’m happy to book them to come earlier to set up your tables.
We apparently have to add this to our contracts now because we are thrown under the bus every time a Coordinator does not get something finished. Honestly, we’re tired of it. There are several coordinators we absolutely love, but it seems like the new ones we are meeting. They think nothing is their job besides walking around with a clip board checking their makeup. So please know what is our job and what is other vendors job?
Coordinator’s need to do better especially the new ones. I’m tired of them feeling like they’re entitled.
