So I check the mail today… and my former student / chef Alex Chamberlain sent me this absolutely stunning gift. This carbon knife is beautiful. He sent it as a thank you/ congratulations gift, and man… the feels are real. After a pretty emotional day saying goodbye to my classroom, students, and awesome career as a teacher, this hits home hard. Thank you Alexander. And congratulations on your Michelin star!!!

I love this young lady of mine. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything, but I just wanted to take some time to talk about my daughter, Soleil.

I’m so proud of the person she’s become. She’s insanely caring, honest and loving. She’s absolutely crushing it in school and was even chosen as the second grade “Terrific Kid” award recipient for the month of April... Not to mention, she’s super silly just like her daddy. I’m insanely proud of this little lady and she is my heart.
