The Black Girl Market is almost here, and we’re building something special for our moms and littles. The Village is taking over a corner of the market to bring you The Village Playground!

Imagine this: Your kids are building with Snapology of Glen Allen, jumping with Kidzbumperbounce, and grabbing a treat from Penny’s Lemon Lab .. while you take a breath in our Affirmation Garden and connect with other local moms.

It’s the perfect "Mommy & Me" Saturday. 🫶🏾

Calling all Richmond businesses, service providers, and community organizations! 💛

In addition to being the owner of Seven21 Events, I am also the founder of The Village, a support community for Black mothers built on connection, resources, and real-life sisterhood.

At The Black Girl Market, The Village will be hosting The Village Playground — an interactive space for moms and children to explore, play, and recharge. This year, we are expanding the experience by adding a Resource & Wellness Corner designed to connect mothers with tools, services, and support they may not even know exist.

✨ This is where you come in.
We are seeking donations of informational materials — brochures, flyers, postcards, coupons, samples, swag, or small giveaways — from businesses and organizations that serve mothers, children, wellness, mental health, community support, financial empowerment, or family-centered needs.

If your business offers:
✔️ Parenting support
✔️ Childcare or early learning
✔️ Family wellness, self-care, or mental health services
✔️ Financial planning or family budgeting help
✔️ Maternal health resources
✔️ Local family-friendly products or services
✔️ Community programs or non-profit support

…we would love to feature your information in our Resource Corner.

This is a beautiful way to pour back into families, showcase your work, and uplift the community.
