Some people will never understand why October is more than just for Halloween & all things pumpkin spice 🎃
They won’t understand why the candles 🕯️, the ribbons, or the soft pastel pumpkins make your heart ache 🩵
They won’t understand how a single date on the calendar can bring back the hospital room, the silence, and all the unanswered what-ifs.
They won’t understand why you still think about how old your baby would be or why you still feel their absence in the quiet moments.
Or why you continue to talk about a baby the world never got the chance to know.
But the ones who do understand…
They’re lighting candles too.
They’re remembering tiny lives that left far too soon.
They’re whispering names they’ll never stop loving.
And they’re carrying the same kind of grief that doesn’t simply disappear with time.
Because for so many families, October is so much more than another month on the calendar.
It’s a month of remembering.
Of honoring the babies we wish were still here.
Of reminding the world that even the smallest lives leave a footprint that lasts forever 👣
