Peonies are still coming strong and weather forecast for this week will help keep them from opening quickly and gone too soon. We have experienced this in the last five years when we got short Spring and immediately change to the hot Summer weather. Enjoy the cool weather flowers this year! We carry locally grown peonies and thinking ahead, we will have more peonies possibly until the end of June through mid- July.

Hi everyone! Just want to share a video of fresh poppies I bought today at a local farm and help start your Monday:) hope it does anyways. We just received so many Spring flowers finally again from Holland and handled very carefully. When you order and after receiving a delivery, you should consider leaving the product outside for at least 2-3 hours or wipe down packaging disinfecting wipes. We do after the arrangements are made so no worries about the inside.

Thank goodness for flowers! It’s so quiet outside everywhere but I have been delivering to houseful of people- families finding so many different ways of keeping busy and learning surprising things that have otherwise been missed! Just like the old times:)

Palm Sunday is this week- end and the final week of Lent. The palm leaves are significant because they were placed in Jesus path before his arrest.
The reason why I am posting about Palm Sunday is because I have gotten so many calls and inquiries on where to get palm leaves at this time. Due to the pandemic, floral wholesalers have closed temporarily and no one to buy palm leaves from!
I’m this I have suggested to everyone calling to go to green houses or I have see palm plants at Home Depot. You can shave some of the leaves off and still keep the plant at the same time. This is a clever way to have have them during this pandemic. Below is a picture of a good majesty palm to give you an idea what you can look for.

We can certainly use some happy colors especially in the medium of fresh flowers. This arrangement would have been just okay had it not have the flower by the name of Dubium. This flower actually belong to the asparagus family but this variety cannot be consumed as they are extremely poisonous unlike it’s relative - the one we see in the grocery stores. Vase life of Dubium flowers last at least for almost a month and they are just beautiful even just by themselves. Right now at this time they are coming in in their greatest quality so take advantage of them in plant or cut flower forms.
I hope these Facebook postings will help everyone’s mind off from wandering outside. Stay in and know you will be safer. Everything will be better if we al listen.

I normally don’t do posting one after the other but maybe it’s not a bad idea since many of us are home and I heard that most people are spending more time on social media due to all the closings.
Forgive me if I posted too many otherwise.
- a very kind and one of my very long- time client called to send a sympathy arrangement today. She also wanted to help boost sales for small businesses like us. Thank you! Fortunately, we have beautiful white hydrangeas and anemone panda, ranunculus, roses very fresh in the cooler besides flowering quince branches! We also would like to thank everyone for the thoughtful texts and emails. We truly appreciate you thinking of us!

Does everyone know that French tulips are the most regal and statuesque variety in the tulip family?
When we receive orders for tulips, right away, for a little bit more cost-wise, we offer the French tulips- they come in the simple, parrot, coupe’, and variegated colors. When we deliver these tulips, because they are top heavy, they bow down and eventually search the light as with all tulips. Know that they are not dead or we will not be selling or delivering them. My advice is if when ordering tulips in particular, to ask what a florist has in stock. These French tulips have been in our store for 3 weeks and going strong.

Sending Spring Flower picture to everyone taken yesterday so that flower lovers that frequented our stores are not shorted with not seeing them! We will be posting regularly and hopefully to give cheer and hope that soon everyone is able to touch and smell the flowers that we love.
Social distancing is in effect but know that we will be posting available flowers and you can message us through Facebook, email, call or text for any comments or just to say hello. We are open for business and will deliver with your floral requests with the emphasis on practicing standards of healthy habits. Our protocol is that we will call Recipients before delivery and will be told that their arrangement will be left in front of their door. A picture will be taken and then sent to recipient to let them know that it was delivered in this fashion.
We want you to know that in times like this, we are thinking of everyone’s safety.
