“The cake cutting represents the first activity done as a couple. The cake cutting ceremony symbolizes that the hand of the groom is placed over that of the bride’s, to show his support and as a promise to take care of her and their future. The couple was encouraged to cut from the bottom tier, as a reminder of the relationship’s longevity. As for the attendees, having cake after it has been cut by the couple is believed to bring good luck.”

This has to be one of my favorite parts of shooting a wedding is the first dance and the cutting of the cake. Weddings are such an important day in our lives in which we only get one shot to get it right!! It’s Memorial Day!!

Thank you to all the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Truly inspiring and humbling!!! Words can’t describe how courageous each and every single one of you are for everything you’ve done and do for this country!!

To say the least this session I did of the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD seemed nearly perfect for today’s post!!! I truly love how the truck just catches your eye especially with all the little details that you can see in these photos. Best part of this whole session was being able to take pictures at OBX, North Carolina while enjoying some time out of VA for a couple of days.

When I was asked personally to do this type of session I felt honored because I take my craft very seriously I always strive for greatness with each and every shoot I do. What’s up everyone I’m back to posting again after taking a little break. I wanted to share with you a shot I took a few years back in 2017 when I first started this photography journey of an old friend. I love lifestyle photography as I’ve said before in my other post because you can do anything you want to be creative in a photo. It’s not your standard pose and smile type of thing.
