Most don’t know this about me…
A little more about me and the dreams that never left.
When I was young, I had two dreams
to be a flight attendant and to plan weddings.
At 20, I interviewed with United Airlines and didn’t get the job.
That dream felt like it ended before it even began.
So I became a nanny.
Meaningful work, but something still felt missing.
I even took wedding planning courses, but life moved quickly.
At 21, I got married, and that dream took a back seat.
Years passed.
Different jobs, different paths, but nothing ever fully felt like it.
Until 35.
That’s when I was hired at Southwest Airlines
and later became a flight attendant.
The dream I had at 20 found its way back.
I’ve now been flying for over 12 years and truly love what I do.
But something else was still waiting.
In 2024, my son got married
and something in me lit up.
On that wedding day, in the middle of all the moving pieces,
I felt something I hadn’t felt in years.
I felt complete.
Like this was something I was naturally meant to do.
So I started building my business.
Late nights, learning everything I could,
walking miles with podcasts in my ears.
And in 2025, I launched I DO Need You.
It took time to book my first wedding.
But when I did, I knew.
This is it.
I was so nervous I asked my sister to come help me
and now, just over a year later, we’ve done 8 weddings together.
Whether I’m reviewing timelines or flipping through inspiration, I approach every wedding with both perspective and intention, always focused on what matters most to my couples.
Because here’s the truth
Dreams don’t expire.
They wait.
At 48, I’m living both dreams I had as a young girl.
And if there’s one thing I know
don’t let your dream disappear.
Even if it takes longer than you thought
it will find its way back to you.
