A little piece of me outside of the blooms 🥹🇵🇷🌸

Today I had my first Club Rush for Boriken Student Union, a new student organization I started at RACC centered around Puerto Rican culture, history, community, advocacy & leadership

& wow… today was special 😭

We already had 14 students interested before Club Rush & another 15–20 signed up today. But more than the numbers, it was hearing everyone’s stories, seeing how excited people were & realizing that the space I felt so strongly was needed… really was needed

Petal & Pearl has allowed me to pour so much of myself into creativity & community.. & Boriken is allowing me to pour into another part of who I am & what I care deeply about

I’m building a business.
I’m building my future.
& now I get to help build a community too 🥹

There’s so much happening behind the flowers over here & I’m just incredibly grateful for this season of becoming 🌸🇵🇷

This month we’re making more room for private events, special experiences & new opportunities.. & kicking it off with a little flower love 💕

On September 13th, Petal & Pearl will be joining the 5th Annual Zumba Combat Kick-A-Thon as a sponsor, gifting a fresh bloom to participants 🌸 bc after all that work… you deserve your flowers 💅🏽😂

Petal & Pearl got to bring all the girly details to The Girly Market todayyy 💕 from building your own bouquets, to our NEW pink bouquet bags & dressing up your blooms with the cutest little charm keychains 🥹🎀

& seeing y’all love the little details as much as I do 😭💕 watching you build your bouquets, pick out your charms & even seeing some familiar faces come back to support me again… literally makes me so happy 🥹💐

The Bloom Bar is becoming so much more than just flowers… it’s a whole little experience 🎀✨ & I LOVE watching it come together more & more with every event

Reading really BLOOMED together 🥹🌸💐

I had this little idea in my head of creating one BIG bouquet made by our community & seeing it actually come to life was beautiful… but honestly, my favorite part wasn’t even the finished bouquet 🥹💕

It was the kiddos 😭😂🌸 Talking with them, helping them create their flowers, laughing with them, getting the sweetest little hugs & seeing how EXCITED they were to show me what they made 🥹💕 Some came back just to show me their finished flower, some wanted help deciding what to add & some just wanted to talkkkk 😂 & I loved every second of it!

Seeing their little faces light up & watching them be so proud of what THEY created really filled my heart 🥹 This is exactlyyyy why I wanted Little Blooms to be more than just arts & crafts. I want our babies to have spaces where they can create, express themselves, feel encouraged & know that what they have to add matters too 🌸

& then seeing all of their completely different little blooms come together into ONE huge community bouquet?! 😭💐 Literally the sweetest representation of what Reading Blooms Together was supposed to be

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, every parent who let their babies create with us & every little artist who gave me hugs, laughs & soooo many smiles today🥹💕

We’re excited to welcome Petal & Pearl Bloom Bar to our list of more than 50 community partners for our 5th Annual Back-to-School Resource & Giveaway! They’ll be bringing a special activity where children can create a flower and help build a Reading Community Bouquet that will grow throughout the event. We’re looking forward to seeing it come together!

Be sure to bring your children, stop by their table, and take part in this fun activity.
