We are mourning the loss of our beloved train driver, Tom Golden. Tom has been an important part of our Museum Team for the past 16 years delighting visitors and staff alike with his kind nature and whimsical spirit.

He is most famous for greeting guests at the train station while wearing a conductor’s hat, all the while joking that his twin brother would be driving. He’d then hurry into the station house, trade the conductor’s hat for an engineer’s hat and reappear ready to roll.

Tom made the Museum a better place and will be deeply missed.

What delicious foods are you growing in your gardens this year?
We have over 18 different edible plants but my new favorite may be amaranth because of it’s radiant colors. This is our first year growing it and I just can’t wait to attempt to harvest the grains!
