“It was a combination of our favorite dishes and things that Ashley is known for, like macaroni au gratin, tomato pie, and fried soft-shell crabs,” Kait explains. “We also asked some of our good friends from restaurants in the area to do a dish—our friend Mike Lee of M Sushi in Durham, North Carolina, made the most ridiculous uni and toro hand rolls; our friend Lin Peterson of Locals Seafood shucked oysters for our raw bar. And Josh DeCarolis of Mothers & Sons did late-night spaghetti carbonara.”

Our Story
Ashley Christensen Events is the catering and events venue branch of Ashley Christensen Restaurants. Our mission is to bring seasonally-driven, comfort-focused food and professional-hospitality of Ashley Christensen Restaurants to your next private event.
Ashley Christensen Events offers a variety of options to bring the magic of Ashley Christensen Restaurants to your private event. We offer full-service, off-site catering with the inclusion of service and kitchen staff as well as a custom menu built to suit your event. We also offer pick-up and drop-off catering, designed to feed parties from 15-100 guests.
Bridge Club is our Social Gathering & Event Space on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a beautiful, historic bank building in downtown Raleigh.
The Second Floor is just up the steps from Death & Taxes restaurant and is designed to feel like a well-heeled loft apartment. With leather couches, custom ambrosia maple cocktail tables, and a fully loaded demo kitchen, the Second Floor of our building is well-suited for standing cocktail parties, presentations and small seated dinners.
The Third Floor, with high sweeping ceilings and wall-to-wall windows with views of downtown Raleigh, makes the ideal stage to host seated dinners for your most special occasions.
