I don’t take opportunities like this lightly.

Last month, I had the pleasure of attending Tori Williams’ Behind the Flowers Academy, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience.

There’s something special about learning from people whose work you’ve admired and experiencing their creativity, knowledge, and generosity up close. Tori and her team welcomed us into their process, shared what they’ve learned, and created space for us to stretch creatively.

The prettiest events don't happen by accident—they're planned with intention.

Before a single table is set or one flower is placed, there's work happening behind the scenes that most guests will never see.

Today's venue walkthrough was all about making sure every detail is ready for my client's wedding reception this Saturday. I verified parking, confirmed the venue's open flame policy, checked the loading process, took measurements, finalized the floor layout, and made sure our design plan works beautifully within the space.

This is the part of event design that protects the experience. Thoughtful planning creates a smoother setup, fewer surprises, and a celebration that feels seamless from the moment guests arrive.
