This morning, I was sitting at my desk and noticed my little globe light wasn’t working properly. I kept pressing the remote, wondering what was wrong with it.
Then I remembered—sometimes I have to unplug it and plug it back in.
It wasn’t broken.
It just needed a reset.
And immediately I thought, Lord, that’s a word for me.
Sometimes we think something is wrong because we’re not functioning the way we normally do. We think we need to push harder, do more, or figure everything out.
But sometimes, we simply need to reset.
Disconnect from the noise.
Get quiet.
Reconnect to God.
And begin again.
My prayer today:
Lord, reset me.
Quiet my mind and order my thoughts.
Reset my priorities.
Reset my focus.
Reset the places where I’ve been carrying too much.
Help me release what doesn’t belong to me and be a good steward of what does.
Reconnect me to You and realign me with Your will.
And remind me that starting again doesn’t mean I’ve failed.
Sometimes growth looks like a reset. 🤎
Happy Wednesday. 💛
