This mixed media painting features a bouquet of flowers in a blue vase, with a variety of blooms including tulips, roses, germinis, and decorative foliage.

This piece adds a whimsical, mixed media element to my body of work.

The style of this painting can be described as a blend of Whimsical Realism and Illustrative Mixed Media with a nod to impressionist.

The exaggerated, fiddleheads and the slightly fantastical arrangement of the flowers give it a dreamy, imaginative feel.
The use of mixed media ( a combination of watercolor, metallic watercolors and ink) gives the painting a layered, illustrative quality. The black curly lines, which appear to be drawn with ink or a fine marker, add a graphic element that’s common in illustrative art.

The loose, painterly quality of the flowers and the soft blending of colors (especially in the background and petals) echo Impressionism. The focus is on capturing the essence of the bouquet rather than rendering every detail with precision.

This combination of whimsical realism, illustrative elements, and impressionistic touches results in a piece that feels both charming and artistic—a style that’s well-suited for decor and buyers who enjoy lighthearted, imaginative art.
