Summer may be coming to a close, but the memories from this tented summer wedding on the Eastern Shore will inspire us all winter!
Sunny yellows and grassy greens paired with European linens and ceramics perfectly accented the waterfront setting

Incredible hospitality at Hotel Burg in the heart of Hunt Country…

Last week, we experienced the exceptional ambiance, service, and dining with a group of wonderful industry friends just days before the hotel officially opened.

Amidst impeccable interior design, we experienced crafted cocktails, a chef-curated dinner, ice cream and caviar. Hotel Burg truly understands how to make guests feel at home and shows attention to every detail.

We cannot wait to share the experience of with our clients—we are imagining rooftop welcome drinks, intimate rehearsal dinners, and luxury suites for wedding weekends just as a starting point— and return as guests ourselves.

A piece of fine art is often at heart of a design alongside our couple’s personal style. So when Emily and Will wanted a baroque-inspired wedding, we were thrilled to have not just a piece of art but an entire era. As a bonus, Emily and I connected over our shared backgrounds in art history.

The result was ornate details, sumptuous fall colors, and the Salamander’s inspiring grounds created a canvas for all of their personal style and baroque details.

Today’s warm spring day has us dreaming of summer and poolside cocktail hours. We have some great ones this year!

For E & R’s summer wedding, the William Morris prints on the bars were inspired by the wallpaper in their kitchen where we planned their wedding for 18 months.

As we discussed their personal style and design aesthetic, my art-history brain couldn’t help but be distracted by their iconic wallpaper as the backdrop where they gathered friends and family for memorable meals.

For their wedding, we didn’t want to copy the exact pattern directly. Instead, we found studies by William Morris and licensed them to be part of the bar- a central gathering place at their wedding.
