Soft Pretzels + Seasonal Food Choices🥨🍺🦌
Can we talk about how much guests love soft pretzels?

Winter cocktail hour food does not need to be fancy to be memorable. Warm Bavarian pretzels, coarse salt, and a good mustard or cheese dip are always a hit. They are comforting, filling, and perfect for colder weather.

We have served these during cocktail hour, as a late-night snack, and even passed at the end of the night. A little salt after hours of dancing and drinking is always a win.

Pro Tip: Let the season guide your menu. Cozy food feels intentional, thoughtful, and guest-focused.

Winter Cocktail Hour + Glühwein🍷
Winter events in the Upper Left are wildly underrated.
Mild temps, crisp air, twinkle lights, and a cozy outdoor cocktail hour that actually feels good.

Enter: Glühwein.
Warm, spiced, comforting, and honestly one of the most crowd-pleasing winter cocktails you can serve. There is nothing better than guests wrapping their hands around a warm mug, catching up under the lights, and easing into the night.

Pro Tip:
Winter cocktail hours do not need to be indoors to feel luxurious. A thoughtful seasonal beverage and good lighting go a long way.

Simple Glühwein Recipe (Easy + Crowd Friendly)

• 1 bottle dry red wine
• 1 orange, sliced
• 2 to 3 cinnamon sticks
• 3 to 4 whole cloves
• 2 star anise (optional but lovely)
• 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or sugar
• Splash of brandy (optional, but recommended)

Add everything to a pot. Heat gently over low heat for 20 to 30 minutes. Do not boil. Serve warm.

To our clients, our creative partners, and this wild little industry that continues to show up for one another. So many of us stand shoulder to shoulder in the belief that equality matters and that our voices matter. I am grateful to be surrounded by people who use their work and their platforms to stand on the side of humanity.

Thanksgiving is different for everyone. For some it is joy, for some it is heavy, and for others it is complicated. If today feels tender, we see you. Everyone carries a story that is not always visible and you deserve gentleness today.

Today also carries a deeper truth. This holiday exists on land with a long and painful history. We honor the Indigenous peoples who stewarded these lands long before settler hands arrived. Their resilience, their traditions, and their stories still shape this place and always will.
